Zanin 1895 began with the production of grappa. The considerable supply of raw materials available in the Veneto region have allowed, since the beginning, the selection of the most suitable pomace to produce and mature grappa. Even today it is one of the best-selling products, its success given by its peculiarities: quality, authenticity and respect for tradition.
The mixture of selected marcs, resulting from the vinification of white and red grapes, is fermented and distilled with copper stills. The next phase involves a long aging period in oak barrels, which unequivocally contributes to shaping its character. The dilution with water is followed by a second refinement stage in steel tanks which engage the aromatic re-composition before bottling.
Grappa stravecchia Riserva XO 2002 is aged for a long time in oak barrels under the constant supervision of our tasting team in order to capture the moment when this noble distillate fully expresses its potential.
How to serve it
It is advisable to serve it neat, in a balloon glass specific for distillates, at a temperature of 12-15 ° C. Before sipping, leave the product to stand for about 1 minute after pouring.
Traditionally its consumed neat accompanied by 70% dark chocolate and dry pastries, or blended to reinterpret classic cocktails.
