
Description
This is the distillate obtained from Veneto’s white and red wine, together with some selected products from the near Romagna region. Its harmonious flavour and fragrance leave a velvety persistence on the palate.

History
The distillate of wine has always existed, especially because artisans used to distil the wine they produced in order to obtain spirits. However, it was not a product of great value until the late 1970s- early 80s, when a selection of the various wines available in the area began to be distilled.
Production method
The main ingredient is the must obtained from pressing white grapes. Once fermented and turned into wine, it is skillfully distilled in copper stills, The brandy obtained will spend at least one year in oak barrels before being diluted and bottled.
Refinement
Athos Brandy before being bottled is aged for at least 1 year in oak barrels.
How to serve it
We suggest to serve it neat. At a temperature of around 14-18° C., leaving it to rest for about 1 minute after pouring before the first sip.
Accompaniments
Traditionally used in coffee, it is also used in confectionery to flavour cakes and biscuits or as an ice-cream topping.
