Plum Gold Selection is a historical liqueur of Zanin, made by mixing alcohol, plum juice and sugar. Delicate, soft and embracing it is a full-round pleasure, and in some areas it represents a Lifestyle for over a century.
Zanin’s Prugna is a plum liqueur that has been around for over a century, as one of the company’s historic products. Made by following a recipe that has been handed down for 4 generations. It is consumed in an area between Veneto, Friuli, Trentino, Eastern Lombardia and upper Romagna. Outside of Italy, it is in demand where there are communities of Venetian emigrants: a true Lifestyle branded by Veneto’s flavour.
To produce this sweet plum liqueur, plum juice and sugar are added to the alcohol with other ingredients part of a secret recipe jealousy kept within the company.
The liqueur has then to rest for6-8months in stainless steel tanks to mature its taste. When ready the liqueur is filtered at room temperature and then bottled
Zanin’s Prugna, before being bottled, rests for 6-8 months in stainless steel tanks. Throughout the maturation the mix of ingredients that compose this precious liqueur evolve.
How to serve it
Can be served at room temperature, with ice or iced.
Prugna Zanin is used in coffee, as cake and ice-cream ingredient or to preserve fruit in spirit.
